Tenneco Automotive is the holding company for Monroe.
Tenneco bought out controling interest of Armstrong in 1997 and now controls 74.9% of this joint venture.
Monroe SA import most of their shocks from their factories around the world.
Tenneco Automotive is a 3.4 billion dollar USA based international company. (Based at Lake Forest, Illinois)
Two of the divisions Tenneco owns are ride control (Armstrong & Monroe) and Emission control (Walker , Gillet, Fonos)
Handle Original Equipment(OE) and Aftermarket(AM).
Tenneco Automotive is the worlds largest manufacturer of ride control products, producing 175 000 shock absorbers per day & has 6 factries in Europe & Africa alone!
Africa reports to Europe whose head office is in Brussels Belgium.
The main European warehouse is in st Truiden Belgium and holds stock of about 2 million shocks at any one time!
Tenneco Automotive's ride control division has a staff of over 7000 of which about 130 are research and development ensuring they remain the leaders.
